We arrived at New Delhi airport very early morning at 1:55 am. The airport was most modern and no less than their departing airport in Canada and we were so relieved to find a Guest Relation Officer and the Driver waiting for us in the Arrival area just outside the airport’s last security exit. They were holding a placard / board displaying my name in bold and the hospital’s name written on it. It took us just 20 minutes to reach the hospital that looked like a Hilton or Sheraton from outside.
We were made comfortable in a private room of the hospital and all admission formalities were quickly completed. Dan was impressed with the room that had a bed for him to sleep, a television connected to cable and a washroom, food service, nurse on call and excellent view from the windows. The next morning a team of doctors visited us and I was taken for medical testing and thereafter I was taken up for surgery. I am indeed grateful for the care I received from everone in India and I fondly remember the days I spent there, that relieved me from years of discomfort."
